Seeking 286 People with $35 to Donate

The Treatment Center construction continues! The next step is to insulate the building. We need Big Rock Insulation of Rapid City to be able to get us on their work schedule, but that can't happen until we have raised $10,000. This means 286 people, each contributing $35.

Elise the (elderly) red-tailed hawk had the opportunity to look over the floor plans of the new building. She only approves IF we can get it insulated this spring. She personally knows at age 35, (36 in April, 2025) that warmth keeps sick birds from dying, and sound proofing keeps broken birds from additional stress. The insulation package designed for our Treatment Center provides this.

The interior area of the building that includes the isolation and quarantine zone, the exam room, and the Intensive Care Unit will have extra sound deadening material in the walls. This means that the sounds of human voices, running water, a radio playing, and bird feeding dishes clanking against each other will be muffled. That means patients in the care of the BHRC will heal more quickly, and return to the wild stronger and healthier.

You can make this next step a reality! Be one of the 286.
